This page provides resources and information for contractors participating in HDMK Inspection Services FORTIFIED designation projects in the GNO and GBR areas.

Preferred Contractor Program

Contractors who complete the FORTIFIED training and are listed as Preferred Contractors receive a discounted rate for FORTIFIED Roof inspections: $500 (vs. the standard $600 for existing homes). Preferred Contractors benefit from priority scheduling and a streamlined evaluation process. To become a Preferred Contractor, contact us to discuss training and certification requirements.

Project Workflow for Contractors

The FORTIFIED designation process involves multiple site visits and close coordination between the contractor and our evaluation team. The evaluator must be engaged BEFORE construction begins for new projects. Key phases include: (1) Initial site assessment and eligibility review, (2) Project setup with the evaluator assigned, (3) Pre-installation visit to document existing conditions, (4) Field visits during installation to capture required photos, (5) Final inspection and documentation review, (6) Application submission to IBHS, and (7) Certificate delivery. Typical timeline for FORTIFIED Roof is 1-3 evaluator visits depending on project complexity.

Getting Started

To register a new project, submit the Project Registration form on the Home page. Include your contractor name, homeowner information, project address, and desired designation level.
